Julie Garden-Robinson is a registered dietitian with master’s and Ph.D. degrees in cereal chemistry and food technology. She is an Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist at North Dakota State University Extension. Julie has developed numerous award-winning, grant-funded multidisciplinary nutrition and food safety educational programs for children and adults on a wide range of topics, which are used throughout North Dakota and nationally. She conducts research in the areas of nutrition, food science and health. Julie has written a weekly food and nutrition column, “Prairie Fare,” since 1997 and a weekly blog since 2012. Julie is a Certified Master Gardener and coordinates music at her church. Julie is representing the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences as the current president-elect.
